EQUIPOISE SERIES:
The series is a comprehensive restructuring of your entire body. From head to foot, from the superficial muscles to
the inner core, we break up old patterns held by bound connective tissue and attitudes of movement. The series is
designed to make you feel great during the day -- your walking, working, playing life -- not just while you are lying on
the massage table.
The integration of intellectual and intuitive knowledge promotes self healing.
The dictum, “Know thy self” is universal wisdom.
This is your time to reacquaint yourself with your body, to bring your body and mind together.
Equipoise means balance in motion -- grace.
Many are afraid to think of themselves as graceful.
Will you become as graceful as Baryshnikov? I don’t know. He puts a lot of time into being graceful.
Equipoise enables efficient use of the body, less pain, more joy. What I can do is help you to become the most
graceful person that you can be.
My job is to use my technical skills to break up old patterns of postural holding from your head to your toes. I am
also there to help you research the tools you will need to take control of your own physical well being.
Taking the series requires not only participation in the sessions but also a couple of minutes of homework a day....
really only a couple. The couple of minutes are usually fun movement games.
