Reviews:
“Shannon and I were both
charmed and moved by your
show and the wonderful group
of people, the set, composer,
music , very very pure and
very very sweet. “
John Okeefe, award winning
playwright.

“For two hours I was transported to this beautiful world and forgot the
craziness our country and our planet are in.”
Rana Halprin, dance educator
“Director John LeFan and his motley cast of actors and dancers have
the feel of a loose knit clan. They turn the Mariposa Studio into an
inviting home that captures the elements and accentuates the themes of
this beautiful fantasia. The moment you enter the studio, you’re
enveloped in the sensual world of a sea-faring vessel caught in a storm.
The ensemble uses voice and dance like movement to illustrate the
scene, and it works brilliantly. It’s fun to watch a group of theater artists
committed to listening to each other and finding sympathetic movement
that supports a great playwright's ideas. The multi talented Theron
Shaw is a stroke of casting genius as Ariel, bringing to the role an
appealing otherworldly quality. When the actors' moves, the director’s
vision, and the writer’s poetry align, this production gives us moments of
real magic.”
Frank Wortham, San Francisco Weekly

Reviews "What a treat! ...unbelievably stunning set!... performed by an incredible cast... this performance is not to be missed. Drop everything and plan to see tonight's...performance" M.M.
“The more I've thought about this, the more I am struck by the complexity and choreography of the production-- it must have been an enormous task to put it together so effectively!” T.H.
“I just wanted to let you know about John's latest show, which I saw last night, Cassandra at Mission Creek. John wrote, directed and choreographed the show. Bob Taxin and Mitzie Abe are members of an excellent and talented ensemble. I found the performance awe inspiring, thought provoking and quite original...This fine work deserves to be seen.” G.S.
“Outstanding production. Very cool. Very stimulating and enthralling. I loved it. (Mitzie Abe was) strong and intense and beautiful! ...Cassandra really worked. It's a delicate balance to pull off such heady, creative, imaginative, performance art/dramatic work. It could be too affected, precious or superficial, but your group is so committed and lithe of mind, spirit and body that it all becomes a brilliant effort of human endeavor reaching Olympian heights. Truly. Very magical and mystical. I feel like I had a total and profound experience. Like how
